Signs of menopause can begin 10 to 15 years before the onset of menopause. Medical doctors define menopause as the time when a woman has not had her menstrual period for a year. Upon menopause, your ovaries produce less estrogen and progesterone and you are no longer able to become pregnant. The average age for a woman to start menopause is 52. However the age is dependent on the individual and can occur earlier or later. Menopause is a three-stage process.

Perimenopause, the first stage, is a period of hormonal fluctuation that can exist for 5 to 15 years or more. Initial perimenopause symptoms are irregular periods and spotting which is caused by fluctuating hormone levels. It is still possible to become pregnant during perimenopause because eggs continue to be released from your ovaries. Although, ovulation is sporadic which makes becoming pregnant a little more challenging. Fluctuating hormones during perimenopause can cause symptoms such as hot flashes, vaginal changes, sleep disruption, night sweats and irritability. Symptoms vary dependent on many individual variables and not all women experience symptoms.

Menopause is the second stage, which may include symptoms of hot flashes, mood swings and headaches. Other signs can include anxiety, hair loss, irritability, depression, dizziness, memory difficulties and many more. Not everyone experiences signs of menopause, but, for many, this is a distressing time. This is a time when your estrogen level declines and your body stops producing progesterone. Estrogen and progesterone are hormones that are necessary for reproductive function. The changing hormone levels can contribute to calcium loss, potentially resulting in osteoporosis.

The third stage is postmenopausal when menopause symptoms typically begin to diminish. The symptoms of hot flashes and night sweats become a thing of the past for most women.

A blood test called the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) test can assist in determining if you are in any of the stages of menopause. These levels rise higher as your ovaries start to decrease in function. Signs of menopause are a natural part of women’s lives. It has been shown that diet, exercise and adequate rest can relive symptoms. In addition, embracing your body’s natural changes is incredibly beneficial during this time.

Gout is a painful and serious condition caused when abnormal levels of uric acid crystallize in the skin or joints. Historically, gout was considered to be a disease of the rich. This is because it is most common in people who consume high meat and high sugar diets as well as in people who consume large quantities of alcohol. Of course, not everyone with gout fits this description; in fact, most people suffering from gout have one of many possible underlying causes that predispose them to the condition. In addition, meat and alcohol are now cheaply available to all and so the old stereotype is no longer applicable.

If you suffer from gout, you will know how unpleasant it can be. Your doctor will probably have prescribed several drugs (such as allopurinol) and recommended dietary alterations. But if you are still suffering from gout or get frequent recurrences, there are several more traditional remedies you can try. This article will discuss some of these home remedies for gout.

1) Drink plenty of water! Most people struggle to drink the recommended daily volume of water but if you suffer from gout, it is even more important to try to do so. This is because water will help to flush out toxins and will dilute the levels of uric acid in your blood.

2) Exercise. Exercise, whether of the affected joints or just in general, is good for gout. If you exercise the affected joints every day you can help to keep them moving freely and without pain. If you exercise regularly in general, this will help to build up muscle, increase joint strength and flexibility and will help to flush out toxins at the same time.

3) Apply ice to affected areas. This helps to reduce pain and inflammation caused by gout. Apply ice in a cold pack to avoid freeze burns and keep the cold pack on the affected area for around ten minutes at a time.

4) Soak your feet in warm water and Epsom salts. As 75% of people affected by gout first notice it in their big toe, it is likely you will benefit from this therapy. It will alleviate stress and increase the circulation to the affected area. This helps to flush toxins and relieve pain at the same time.

These four natural home remedies for gout are very useful tools in making life with gout easier and more comfortable. Do not stop conventional medical therapy but if it is not helping enough, add some of these treatments in on top. Hopefully that way you will reduce the pain and discomfort you suffer significantly.

Massage Therapy is often extremely helpful for patients who complain of tense, sore muscles, yet professional massage therapy gets expensive. A lot of the same rewards are readily available to the consumer by purchasing handheld massage therapy equipment. There have been some great developments in these machines, and they can now truly provide a high quality massage therapy experience without ever leaving the house.

Musculoskeletal discomforture is in the top ten most common complaints that a physician hears about from his patients. Most of the time there is nothing abnormal about these feelings. These things just happen. But the discomfort that this can cause can very well interfere with your day to day activities and make life less enjoyable.

Massage therapy is easily among the most simple and direct remedies for these symptoms. It can alleviate the pain and make it easier to move about normally. Many patients find that it is also deeply calming and rejuvenating. Naturally, there is little need to remind you to be sure to check in with your doctor first to get some assurance that there is no illness underlying the doscomfort you have been feeling. And as soon as you know all is medically well, massage therapy may be a suitable answer for your aches and pains.

The problem is that professional massage therapy is too expensive for many people to justify, particularly in the current economy. If you are in need of frequent massage therapy sessions, you could end up paying a fortune. On the bright side, lots of people have come to swear by the results that affordable home massage equipment can provide. I could give you plenty of examples, but here’s a good one: Conair Therapy Massager with 4 Attachments

Electronic massage equipment range from little electric massagers you can operate by hand that apply basic percussive pressure, to costlier devices which are designed to massage specific parts of the body. For example, you can find dedicated head and neck massagers, massagers that only focus on the feet and calves, or back massage pads. While certain people might balk at the upfront cost of high end massage devices, the money you save on trips to the massage therapist can make these machines more than pay for themselves. One thing I’d have you take a look at is here: Massage Mouse Portable Massager

The best method for you to figure out if one particular massager is going to do what you need is to try it in person. Some showrooms provide access to sample machines for you to put to work on your own aches and pains to see if the way a specific machine works is effective for your needs. If there are no showrooms in your area, you can read the reviews that people post to see whether people with pain that is similar to your are responding well to the device, and then decide whether or not a particular massaging device will be a good fit for you.

Two weeks before and two weeks after the operation you must avoid taking any anti-inflammatory, because acetylsalicylic acid reduces the faculty of the blood to coagulate and eases bleeding

Is there an age limit for man boobs surgical removal?
There is no age limit, but it is suggested to wait that the pubertal phase is over: During that period a little increase of the size and consistency of the breast is normal also in men. The operation is not suggested for obese men, that first should try to lose weight through a diet, and for men regularly taking soft drugs, alcohol or anabolic steroids that can be the cause of gynecomastia.

Which method is the most effective to get rid of man boobs?
The surgical method, which consists in removing mammal tissue through the suction of fat and the removal of excess skin. With this technique it’s possible to give a well toned and natural aspect to the chest.

Which are the risks and complications of the operation?
The surgical removal of man boobs is a fairly simple surgical procedure that gives satisfactory results. Like in every surgical operations, complications (bleeding, infections…) are rare but may occur and can be solved only if the intervention is being performed by a specialist and in a authorized and equipped environment.

What is the preoperative visit like?
The surgical treatment of gynecomastia is a very personalized intervention that needs an accurate specialist visit. During the first visit the surgeon will evaluate the shape and size of the breast, aureoles and nipples and show you the possible aesthetic changes that the modern surgical technique allows you to perform. You will also receive instruction about the take in of drugs and alcohol and about smoking.

What kind of anesthesia is given?
The surgical removal of man boobs is normally performed in local anesthesia and in day-hospital regime

Where are the incisions made?
Depending on the size of the man boobs, incisions can be made only below the aureole or descend until the sub-mammary groove.
